May Day Celebrations

disabled access

Is this the noisiest, liveliest, most traditional May Day experience in East Anglia?

Join over 100 costumed Tudors as they engage in traditional celebrations with music, dancing and plays.

Expect noisy flag waving processions, a May Queen and plays in which St George overcomes evil in the form of the Devil, a Turk, a Spaniard or a Dragon.

Youngsters can lend a hand making garlands and paper boats, or gathering nutsin May as they sing the rhyme.

Celebrations will be centered upon making noise, drumming, stamping and dancing to wake-up spring so as to encourage crops to grow.

Join in the processions, cheer the players and dance round the May Tree.

It's noisy, full of life and fun!

Full catering will be available serving homemade hot and cold lunches and teas.

Come early and spend the day to enjoy all the fun!
