Once again Huddersfield Light Opera Company producies traditional family entertainment with their story of DICK WHITTINGTON.
The time is 1850 and London is awash with rats, led by the fearless and dreadful King Rat. But all is not lost: Travelling to visit London is our hero Dick Whittington, who has heard that the streets are paved with gold. After a chance meeting with a fairy on the way, he is teamed up with a fearless cat Tommy and, together with a host of other funny characters, they will provide the laughter, spectacle and audience particpation by the bucketful that has now become synonymous with a HLOC performance.
