Tucked away in Clapham North just a minute from the tube and overground, The Shala is a warm, peaceful and intimate space in which to explore and deepen your yoga practice. The Shala translates as "a place of spiritual practice".

The classes focus on Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, a dynamic moving meditation resulting in calmness and clarity. It maximizes body tone, encourages weight loss, detoxifies and increases all-round health, flexibility, strength and balance. There are classes for beginners, intermediate and those practising Mysore-style as well as workshops and courses.

Founded in 1998 and run by Gingi Lee – one of the most established ashtanga yoga teachers in the country – the Shala has had a loyal following of students for 15 years. The Shala continues to be a place of self-exploration with an emphasis on physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
