    09-Dec-2013 Report

We went to see the show at the Criterion Theatre, Piccadilly Circus, and firstly, I just want to say the theatre staff were amazing. They were great with all the kids and helped with carrying all the pushchairs.

I was nervous taking my 2 year old DS along, as he can't sit still for a minute, but wow, he was fixed to the stage for the whole show, and as an adult it was really fun to watch too.

The sets were colourful, songs catchy and my son didn't question the puppets once. They cleverly linked together different TV episodes into one story, which I think was great as it made it easy for the little ones to follow. It was also the perfect length - 80 mins including a 20 min interval.

If you do manage to see it before Christmas, there is a lovely festive addition at the end of the show.

So, if you have a Peppa fan in the house - this really is the treat for them.

Well where do I start?? Peppa Pig's Big Splash is brilliant!!!

I headed off with my 3 year old DS and his 4 year old friend who were in a trance from start to finish. I was a little bit surprised to see puppets as I was expecting some giant Peppa to strut across the stage but within 5 minutes you don't notice the people as you really are transported into Peppa Land! The set is amazing, voices sound just like the show and with so much audience participation it would be rude not to join in!

It was great to sing my favourite song (Bing Bong Boo), dance at the fair and splash in muddy puddles but be careful not to splash too much as you might just get wet - we did which DS found hilarious!!

Would I go and see it again? Oh yes, it was the best show I've seen for little ones in a long time.

    Local Editor Review:

I saw the show at The Orchard in Dartford on 26 October with my 2 year old daughter and her friend (same age). They were mesmerised throughout the entire show and I've never seen them sit still for so long.

The characters voices were very good - Daddy Pig and Mr Bull sounded exactly like they do in the TV show! The songs were great and included some old favourites for the children to sing along with ("Bing Bong Boo", for example). I heard a few mumbles that people weren't expecting puppets but for me it was better than seeing people bumbling around dressed up as the characters.

Enough audience participation to keep the children entertained and some delightful surprises that made me smile too. DD's friend cried her eyes out when the final curtain came down!

All in all, a wonderful show that I would take my daughter to see again and again.
